A 12-year-old girl from Bengaluru underwent emergency gastric surgery after she consumed a popular smoky paan, made with liquid nitrogen that caused a hole in her stomach. Doctors say, liquid nitrogen, developed to improve the quality and shelf life of food, is extremely harmful as it can cause dizziness, nausea, vomiting, loss of consciousness, and even death.
