A woman, identified as Ranjitha, died by suicide after being allegedly harassed by creditors who loaned her husband, Darshan, money in Karnataka. He had allegedly borrowed ₹1.5 crore for IPL betting and lost it. Police said though he returned ₹1 crore, he still had to return ₹84 lakh. Ranjitha's father claimed she learned about his betting habit in 2021.
