Eight wild buffaloes from Assam's Kaziranga National Park have been moved to a 17-hectare enclosure at Madhya Pradesh's Kanha Tiger Reserve, marking their return to the region after nearly 100 years. CM Mohan Yadav released the animals, comprising six females and two males, on Sunday after quarantine. The state aims to establish a population of 50 buffaloes within three years.
