Reacting to US President Donald Trump's reciprocal tariffs, Republican Senator Ted Cruz said the move would "destroy jobs at home and do real damage to US' economy". Separately, some Republicans have proposed a bill to bring Congress in for approvals of such future measures through legislation after Trump unilaterally declared the tariffs. Cruz, however, has not signed the bill.
