CJI DY Chandrachud on Tuesday, while referring to Bilkis Bano's plea challenging the remission of the sentence of 11 convicts in the gang-rape case, said, "The matter will be listed soon." The Supreme Court assured that a new bench will be formed at the earliest. The convicts were granted remission by the Gujarat government and released on August 15, 2022.
