Assam CM Himanta Biswa Sarma said they'll deport a person within a week of being declared a foreigner by a Foreigners' Tribunal. Addressing a press conference, he said Assam has intensified pushback operations and has already identified and expelled 2,000 illegal foreign nationals. Sarma added that a "direct action with no compromise" policy is in force in the state.
