German tennis player Alexander Zverev defeated Dutch qualifier Gijs Brouwer to reach the second round in the ongoing Wimbledon 2023. Zverev won the first round with a scoreline of 6-4, 7-6(7-4), 7-6(7-5). He will now face Japan's Yosuke Watanuki, who is currently ranked 116th in the world. Zverev has never reached the quarter-final stage at Wimbledon in his career.
