World number 21 Alexander Zverev has been knocked out of Wimbledon in the third round. Zverev lost 3-6, 6-7(4-7), 6-7(5-7) to 2021 Wimbledon runner-up Matteo Berrettini. It was the third time that Zverev has made an exit at this stage in Wimbledon. He has reached the tournament's fourth round only twice in his career so far.
