Metaphysic, the artificial intelligence (AI) startup behind the viral deepfake video of actor Tom Cruise, announced on Tuesday that it has raised $7.5 million in funding. It was led by Google Ventures Founder Bill Maris through his venture capital firm Section 32. Tyler and Cameron Winklevoss' venture capital firm Winklevoss Capital and YouTuber Logan Paul also participated in the round.
