Wipro laid off employees and abruptly shut down its manufacturing facility located at Baddi, Himachal Pradesh following a labour dispute and workers' protest. Wipro layoffs affected 80 employees working at Baddi unit. The employees were not told about the factory shutdown leading to shock and large protest and legal complaint.
