Senior scientist Dr Dinesh K Aswal has said there is "no reason for alarm" after a study found uranium in the breast milk of lactating mothers in Bihar. "The levels detected are well within safe limits...Mothers can and should continue to breastfeed their children without hesitation," he added. The study found the uranium level was 5 parts per billion (ppb).
