A woman in West Bengal has accused Padma Shri awardee monk Kartik Maharaj of raping her on multiple occasions since 2013 on the pretext of offering her a job at a school. The woman said that after she got pregnant in 2013, the accused took her to a private nursing facility for abortion. She sought stringent action against the accused.
