A woman was killed after the roof of her mud house collapsed in Karnataka's Vijayapura district following heavy rainfall. The victim, identified as Mahadevi Varada, was buried under the debris while asleep inside the house. Her husband narrowly escaped as he was sleeping outside. Police and Revenue Department officials visited the spot, and the body was sent for postmortem examination.
