A video from Chhattisgarh’s Rajnandgaon district has surfaced online, showing an elderly woman weeping beside a freshly cut Peepal tree she had planted 20 years ago. In the video, she can be seen holding the tree’s stump and crying helplessly. According to reports, villagers said she treated the tree like her own child and watered it every day.
