A young, 23-year-old woman from Coimbatore died after contracting rabies from her pet dog who bit her last month. According to officials, she visited a clinic where the doctor administered her tetanus shot to prevent any infection. However, she developed symptoms of rabies, which include fever, hallucinations, hydrophobia, muscle-aches and coma, and thereafter could not be saved.
