A 25-year-old PhD scholar was found hanging in her hostel room at IIT Madras in Chennai on Tuesday night. Her body was discovered by her friends after they were alerted by her parents who were not able to reach her on her phone, reports said. Police have registered a case of suicide and started an investigation.
