A man was beaten to death after a woman's family called him on pretext of discussing a marriage proposal, said Maharashtra Police. The incident, which occurred on July 22, was reported from Pimpri Chinchwad near Pune. The victim was in a relationship with his relative. The woman's family opposed their marriage, as he had criminal background, including a rape charge.
