Reacting to reports of alleged custodial assault of a woman in a police station in Odisha, former CM Naveen Patnaik said "Women are not safe even inside police stations". Patnaik earlier called for a court-monitored SIT probe into the incident. An Army Major and his fiancee accused the Bharatpur police of custodial assault when they came to report an attack.
