The Uttarakhand Women’s Commission has taken suo motu notice of the Haridwar hospital incident where a pregnant woman was denied care and gave birth on the floor. Chairperson Kusum Kandwal called the incident deeply disturbing and demanded swift action. The Health Department has already dismissed the night-duty doctor and initiated an official investigation into the matter.
