Veteran Malayalam actor Kollam Thulasi has reacted to actress Shwetha Menon being elected as the first-ever female President of the Association of Malayalam Movie Artists (AMMA). "They say women will rule, we say men will rule...Women should always be beneath us...Men should always be above women. Isn’t it?" he said. Following criticism, he clarified that he was "just joking".
