Working 55 hours or more per week is a serious health hazard: WHO

Maria Neira, director of the World Health Organization's (WHO) Department of Environment, Climate Change and Health, said that working 55 hours or more per week is a serious health hazard. Long working hours led to 7,45,000 deaths from stroke and ischemic heart disease in 2016, a 29% increase since 2000, the WHO and the International Labour Organization (ILO) said.
