The Gionee Elife S5.5, claimed to be the world's slimmest smartphone (5.5mm thick), has been launched in India at a price of Rs 22,999. The smartphone, which was announced in February, will be available in the Indian market starting Apr-27. The 130 gram android phone features a 5-inch full-HD display, 1.7GHz octa-core processor, 2GB RAM and 13 MP rear camera.
