Following her FIDE Women’s World Chess Cup 2025 win, Divya Deshmukh received a grand welcome when she returned to her home city Nagpur. By winning the global tournament at Batumi, Georgia she etched her name into history by becoming the first Indian woman to win the prestigious title, and was greeted by hundreds of fans, family members at the airport.
