World champion Gukesh D defeated world number one Magnus Carlsen in Round 6 of Norway Chess 2025. He recorded his first-ever victory over Magnus in classical chess. Gukesh won from a losing position after Carlsen made a late blunder. "What means the most to me is...I didn’t lose the game...but beating Magnus in any form is special," Gukesh said.
