Ex-Manchester City and 2018 World Cup-winning French footballer Benjamin Mendy was found not guilty of rape and attempted rape by a British court. The 28-year-old was accused of attacking a 24-year-old woman at his mansion in Cheshire in 2020. He was accused of attempting to rape another woman in 2018. Mendy broke down in court when the verdict was announced.
