World Nomad Games 2026 draws 90 nations to Kyrgyzstan

The sixth World Nomad Games are underway at Lake Issyk-Kul, Kyrgyzstan, with competitors from 90 countries competing in 43 disciplines rooted in nomadic traditions. Events include eagle hunting, horseback wrestling, kok-boru, and archery. Running through September 6, the UNESCO-recognised games also showcase yurts, music, crafts, and nomadic culture.
