World's 2nd-biggest memory chipmaker ends bonus dispute with union

SK Hynix, world’s second-biggest memory chipmaker, reached an agreement with its union to pay 50% of profit-sharing bonuses in cash and the rest in company shares, resolving a dispute that threatened production. The pact replaced a proposed 40-60 cash-stock split. The agreement followed two weeks of negotiations after 50.08% of union members rejected the initial deal in August.
