Nauru, a tiny island country in the southwest Pacific Ocean, has launched a "golden passport" initiative, offering foreigners citizenship of the country for $105,000 (over ₹91 lakh). The world's third-smallest country faces an existential threat from rising sea levels and is raising money to fund climate action. The government plans to move 90% of the island's population onto higher ground.
