China has launched the world’s largest centrifuge in terms of capacity. It is designed to simulate extreme gravitational forces. The machine, called CHIEF1300, can reportedly generate up to 300 times Earth's gravity for a load weighing as much as 22 tonnes. The CHIEF1300 is housed in a 2,476-square-foot underground chamber.
