World's largest fish breeding ground found beneath Antarctica's ice

Scientists have discovered nearly 60 million fish nests beneath Antarctica's Filchner Ice Shelf, making it the world's largest known fish breeding ground. The nests belong to Antarctic icefish, which survive in freezing waters using natural antifreeze proteins. Scientists believe that the breeding colony exists because of a slightly warmer current flowing beneath the ice shelf.
