QatarEnergy, the world's largest producer of LNG, declared Force Majeure to all its affected buyers after Iran blocked the Strait of Hormuz and attacked its refineries in Ras Laffan and Mesaieed industrial cities. Force Majeure refers to unforeseen events that prevent an entity from fulfilling its contractual obligations. This comes two days after QatarEnergy stopped its LNG production.
