The world's most expensive mango variety is originally grown in Japan's Miyazaki. The mangoes from Miyazaki are known for their unique taste, creamy texture and bright red or purple colour. They are rare and cost around ₹3 lakh per kg. Notably, July 22 is celebrated as National Mango Day in India.
