The world's most-valuable AI startup, Anthropic, urged a slowdown or pause in AI development as it noted how AI is building itself at an accelerated pace. "If a slowdown simply lets the least cautious actors catch up technologically, it could leave everyone less safe," Anthropic warned. It noted that it'll now develop systems that will help slow down AI development.
