The world's oceans recorded their hottest June on record, with scientists warning that El Niño and climate change could push sea temperatures even higher in the coming months. Widespread marine heatwaves have affected much of the world's oceans, increasing risks to coral reefs, marine life and extreme weather events worldwide.
