World's oldest ostrich nest, dating back 41,000 years, found in India

Tuesday, 25 June, 2024 A team of archaeologists has found a 41,000-year-old ostrich nest, said to be the oldest in the world, in Andhra Pradesh. Around 3,500 fragments of ostrich eggshells were found within a compact area of 1x1.5 meters, reports said, adding that it confirms the historical presence of ostriches in Southern India. Researchers from Vadodara-based MS University were part of the team.
