In an open letter on World Wide Web's 29th birthday, creator Tim Berners-Lee highlighted the threats faced by the Web ranging from political advertising to loss of personal data. He talked about bridging the gap between the people who have internet access and those who don't. He said he remains committed to making sure the Web was free and open.
