A dog has been infected with monkeypox after catching the virus from its owners, the World Health Organisation (WHO) has said. The world's first case of human-to-dog transmission occurred in Paris and was reported in The Lancet. The two men noticed lesions on their greyhound dog 12 days after they started getting symptoms.
