The world's first confirmed dog-fox hybrid has been found in Brazil. The study in the journal Animals revealed the animal's mother was a pampas fox and her father a domestic dog of an unknown breed. "This animal exhibited unusual phenotypic characteristics, displaying intermediate traits between domestic dogs and wild canids," the scientists said in the study.
