The world's first photograph made in a camera, was taken by French scientist Joseph Nicéphore Niépce in 1820s. The image, shown above, was obtained through a process known as heliography, and depicts the view from an upstairs window at Niépce's estate in France. Notably, the World Photography Day was celebrated on Friday.
