World's sixth richest man Warren Buffett praised Ajit Jain, who runs all of Berkshire's insurance operations, in his annual shareholder letter. Buffett revealed he hired Jain in 1986 even after Jain said he had no experience in insurance, and called his decision "as perfect a choice as could have been made". Jain, who hails from Odisha, studied at IIT Kharagpur.
