The world's largest Nutella factory has been blockaded for a week by around 160 French workers demanding more pay. The factory owned by Italian confectionery company Ferrero produces 6,00,000 jars of Nutella a day, accounting for a quarter of the world's production. The strikers demanded a 4.5% pay rise and a €900 (₹70,000) bonus while Ferrero offered a 0.4% rise.
