An underwater sinkhole discovered in 2021 in Mexico's Chetumal Bay is the world's deepest blue hole on Earth, scientists said. A new study said the Taam Ja' Blue Hole is 1,380 feet or 420 metres (below sea level) in depth, hinting at an intricate and interconnected network of caves and tunnels. It's expected to be home for undiscovered marine life.
