Taiwan's Pou Chen, the world's largest manufacturer of branded sports and casual shoes, plans to cut around 6,000 jobs at a Vietnam plant due to weak demand, reports said. The company will reportedly fire 3,000 workers this month and will not extend the contracts of 3,000 others later this year. The company supplies footwear to brands like Nike and Adidas.
