World's largest container shipping companies Maersk and MSC said they will end a vessel-sharing alliance in January 2025. Both companies saw the alliance as a way to manage more capacity after purchasing new mega-ships. "Operating our own network gives us more flexibility...allows us to connect our ships exactly where we want," Maersk's Global Head of Ocean Products Johan Sigsgaard said.
