World's largest waterlily species discovered in Kew Gardens

Scientists have discovered the world's largest waterlily belonging to the genus Victoria at Kew Gardens. Named V boliviana, in honour of Bolivian partners in the research, leaves of the newly discovered waterlily species grow up to three metres. It has flowers which turn from white to pink and bear spiny petioles. It's one of the world's botanical wonders, scientists said.
