Chinese athlete Yang Jiayu smashed the world record to win the women's 20-km race walk at the Chinese national championships in Huangshan on Saturday. The 25-year-old clocked one hour 23 minutes and 49 seconds to take 49 seconds off the previous record held by Olympic champion Liu Hong since 2015. “The Olympics gold is the ultimate goal,” said Yang.
