Researchers recorded Yang’s frill-limbed tree frog in Meghalaya for the first time during a survey in Mawpat, South West Khasi Hills. The species, Kurixalus yangi, earlier known from China, Myanmar and parts of Northeast India, was confirmed through morphological and genetic analysis, highlighting the state’s rich but underexplored amphibian diversity.
