TMC on Monday appointed former Union Minister Yashwant Sinha as their Vice President and also inducted him in the national working committee. This comes after Sinha joined the Mamata Banerjee-led party on March 13 ahead of the eight-phase West Bengal Assembly polls. The former BJP leader said the alleged attack on Banerjee in Nandigram compelled him to join TMC.
