Karnataka Chief Minister BS Yediyurappa on Tuesday requested the Centre to release financial assistance of ₹10,000 crore immediately for the flood-affected state. "The situation is very bad...There is a loss of over ₹50,000 crore in the state," he said. "On August 16, I'm going to Delhi to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi regarding this," the CM added.
