The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a yellow alert for the heatwave in the Delhi NCR region on Monday. "The temperature is expected to rise above 45 degrees Celsius on Monday and Tuesday, creating heatwave conditions in isolated places," IMD Scientist Akhil Srivastava said. The maximum temperature was between 42-44 degrees Celsius on Sunday, he added.
